Time Management

These are the "norms" but all stages are changeable depending on whether you’re having a prolonged engagement or a quick turn around wedding - we’ll do it your way. I can help you build a timetable and schedule that works for you.

ENGAGEMENT PARTY

REQUIRES: Invitations including envelopes

The party usually happens within 3 months of the engagement being announced.

SAVE THE DATE

REQUIRES: A card including envelopes

It’s a a good idea to send these out as soon as the date has been confirmed. Ideally 12 - 18 months before the ceremony.

THE BRIDAL SHOWER

REQUIRES: Invitations including envelopes and possible paper props or products.

The bridal shower can happen anytime between 6 months and one week before the big day.

HEN AND STAG DO'S

REQUIRES: Invitations including envelopes and possible paper props or products.

It’s rare nowadays for Hens and Stags to take place the night before the ceremony as is traditional. They usually happen anywhere between 3 months and one week before the big day.

WEDDING DAY AND EVENING INVITATIONS

REQUIRES: Invitations including envelopes and potentially information cards, RSVP’s, maps, gift lists and address labels.

It’s common to send out two separate types of invitations. The invitations to the ceremony and reception and then the invitations to the evening party and celebrations. They are usually sent 3-6 months before the wedding.

'ON THE DAY' STATIONERY

REQUIRES: Potentially a welcome sign, table plan, menus, table numbers, place names, order of services and any event signage.

These can be prepared well in advance once you have decided upon your theme. Once you have received all the RSVP’s, these can all be finalised - Ideally 2 months before they are required.

THANK YOU CARDS

REQUIRES: A card including envelopes

It’s courtesy to thank your guests for attending. These can be prepared beforehand so they are ready to send once you return from your honeymoon.

I hope you find this useful.

Much Love,

Paper Date
